DEAR HOUSE PAINTERS IN SANTA ROSA, SONOMA COUNTY, AND NAPA COUNTY: HERE’S HOW NOT TO PAINT A HOUSE

 Dear Aspiring House Painters,

From our years as house painters in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, and Napa County, we have gleaned a wealth of information about how to please our clients. There’s no better feeling than a job well done and a happy client. And there’s nothing better for business than positive word of mouth. At Mike Chavez Painting, all of our painters are trained not to cut corners, but if you want to have a spectacularly unsuccessful painting business, here’s how!

HOW NOT TO PAINT A HOUSE

Don’t Bother Prepping the Surface

Just paint over it, whatever it is! Never mind if the surface doesn’t take paint well or if the old paint peels off taking the new paint with it. No one will ever notice. If they do, don’t worry. There are plenty of other house painters in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, and Napa County for your clients to call. Who needs customer referrals anyway?

Use Poor Quality Paint

Your clients will never notice if you have to use more paint or it doesn’t good or doesn’t last as long as it should.

Don’t Worry About Perfect Edges

Just slop a little here, a little there. It’s not like you have to live there, right?

Don’t Show Up On Time

And when you do show up, go ahead and be as loud and crude as you want. It’s your home for the day. Don’t worry about whatever little ears might be inside or next door.

Leave a Mess

You’re a painter, not a cleaner. Your work is done when the last brush or roller or spray of paint is applied. So you dripped a few drops on the floor and broke a lamp. These things happen.

So, aspiring house painters in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, and Napa County, if disappointed clients who tell their friends not to hire you is your aim, follow our advice. But if you want to make a great name for yourself and have business for many years to come, prep your surfaces, use good quality paint, be precise in your painting, show up on time and be courteous, and clean up after yourself.
